State Opera’s very own Artistic Director Stuart Maunder takes the stage for a cabaret extravaganza through the songs and times of Gilbert and Sullivan.
Previously a sellout at the Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Mad Songs of Englishmen is a nostalgic journey where the G&S authority (and mild fanatic), accompanied on the piano by Anne-Maree McDonald, will dish up his all-time favourites, alongside songs from George Grossmith and Noël Coward.
Travel back in time to when Queen Victoria ruled the Empire, and enjoy an indulgent high tea spiced with zany characters, joyous melodies and witticisms galore.
